For more than 370 years
The value of the "Sagramühl" run by Georg Neuhofer and his wife Catharina at that time was already a considerable 625 gulden.
Maria Theresa recognises the importance of the timber industry. In Zell am Moos, 650 people are already working in the sector.
Johann and Elisabeth Neuhofer buy the Saaghäusl together with its land and forest.
Greatest economic crisis of the 20th century; countless company bankruptcies, very poor order situation for production. Franz Neuhofer takes over the company management at the age of 31 in the 8th generation.
Devastating floods in the Haslau (entire Vöckla valley) immediately after the end of the war; all the wood supplies, warehouses, garages, the small church and half the house are swept away by the floods. The family is left with nothing. Reconstruction of the farm and the house starts almost from scratch; the family receives no support whatsoever, neither from the state nor from private or other funding agencies.
Renovation of the business and reconstruction of the residential building.
Acquisition of a modern gate and the second turbine unit.
Franz Neuhofer (9th generation), who is only 18 years old, takes over sales and production management at the company.
The first four-sided planing machine (made by Olbrich) goes into operation. The first floors, formwork and planed squared timber leave the production line as an "additional product". The range of mouldings is considerably expanded.
Franz Neuhofer senior marries Christiana Schwaighofer and takes over the family business in the 9th generation. Modernisation of the production processes in the sawmill. Acquisition of the 7-spindle Weinigh planing machine, specially designed for the production of mouldings.
The company increases its capacities in the sawmill. Turnover in the production of mouldings reaches the one million schilling mark.
Purchase of the surrounding land and construction of a new longwood sawmill equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities.
Increasing international orientation of the company FN Neuhofer already exports 65% of its quality products abroad.
Purchase of the neighbouring sawmill.
Milestone in the company's history - the Neuhofer family makes the forward-looking decision to focus all resources on the production of lasts. Massive investments are made in expansion: additional planing machines and veneer cutting machines, wrapping machines, varnishing machines, drying chambers and much more are purchased. Start of large-scale production of laminated and veneered mouldings.
Expansion of the moulding production through the addition of a new hall.
Further expansion of the production halls and warehouse; expansion of the product range to include fastening rails, clipholders, corners, radiator rosettes and much more. Worldwide registration of numerous patents.
Complete reconstruction of the sawmill; state-of-the-art technologies are used.
Closure of the sawmill. At the same time, a modern logistics centre is built on the company premises to cope with the increasing transport volume. FN Neuhofer receives the Austrian State Award for Timber Marketing for extensive marketing activities and innovative strength.
FN Neuhofer celebrates its 350th anniversary. Franz and Christiana Neuhofer hand over the management to the 10th generation - their two sons Martin and Franz Neuhofer junior. The largest investment in the company's history to date is made - a new production hall and warehouse with locksmith's shop and joinery are built.
FN goes online - the company enters the worldwide virtual space and can now be found on the Internet at www.fnprofile.com.

Award of the Golden Decoration of Merit of the Republic of Austria to Franz Neuhofer senior for his many years of activities in economic and social life. Federal Decoration of Honour of the Republic of Austria for Christiana Neuhofer.
Investment in two more production lines with state-of-the-art equipment (Powermat 2000), increasing the profiling capacity to approx. 110 million running metres per year. In addition, a 2,000 m2 warehouse is built on the company premises. The trade magazine "Holzkurier" awards FN Neuhofer the title "Wood Industry of the Year" for its innovative strength and rapid development.
FN Neuhofer secures further expansion opportunities at the Zell am Moos site by acquiring additional land. In addition, a new warehouse (600 m2) is built.

FN Neuhofer celebrates its 360th anniversary! The company's pioneering role in the lasts sector is secured by the acquisition of a digital printing system, which allows for enormous flexibility in the area of storage as well as decor variations. Construction of a production facility for solid wood mouldings with new planing lines and cutting lines, increasing production capacity to 125 million running metres per year. Further expansion of storage capacity by 20,000 m³ and relocation of the logistics centre to the location of the moulding plant.

370th anniversary. The world holds its breath - due to the Corona pandemic, the anniversary cannot be celebrated. Instead, the chronicle "Neuhofer roots - growth - world market" is published. Investment in further plants and lines (plastic and aluminium) and ground-breaking ceremony for the implementation of the structural "Vision 2025". Parkett Star award for the life's work of Franz Neuhofer (9th generation).
The largest investment in the company's history is implemented. The 3-storey office building with the representative, large-scale showroom and the inviting canteen as well as the two huge production halls are completed on schedule. The commissioning of the latest, highly automated equipment is underway. Award of the Austrian Export Prize in silver.
Moving into the new offices. A milestone in the company's history and the basis for a successful future - by tradition. Winner of Austria's Leading Companies, International category, Upper Austria.
Entry into the production of acoustic panels. These optimize room acoustics while also serving as functional design elements.
